Charnwood Grove is a welcoming community rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Celtic druids. We honor the sacred in nature while embracing the needs of modern seekers.

What We Believe

At Charnwood Grove, we believe in the sacred interconnectedness of all life. Our practices honor the ancient Celtic traditions while remaining relevant and accessible to modern practitioners.

We welcome seekers from all backgrounds, regardless of previous experience with druidic traditions. Our grove is a place of learning, growth, and mutual support on the spiritual journey.

The beacon that lights our way represents the eternal flame of wisdom, passed down through generations and rekindled in each new seeker who joins our community.

The dramatic shifts in light and temperature we experience in the northern hemisphere direct our focus towards the sun, the cause of these changes. Four of our celebrations are therefore called “sun festivals”, because they mark the midwinter and midsummer solstices and the spring and autumn equinoxes.

The other four mark the opening of each season, and reflect the character of each.

In pagan Druidry they are called by their celtic names:

Samhain (October 31),

Imbolc (February 1),

Beltane (April 30) and

Lughnasadh (August 1).

However both the names and the exact dates can vary.

These are private rituals where the public can watch. It’s a good way to meet us.
